  Job Description

  We are seeking a dynamic Key Account Manager for North Malaysia to join our leading kitchen and home appliances company, specializing in innovative and high-quality consumer electronics, including the De'Longhi brand of coffee machines. Reporting directly to the Sales Director (currently vacant), this solo role is based at our Sunway Geo office and covers the entire Northern region. You will play a vital hunter role, focusing on opening new accounts and driving sales through strong, relationship-based engagement with key dealers and retailers such as Harvey Norman, Senheng, and local independent Chinese dealers. Your responsibilities will include managing face-to-face relationships, negotiating annual trading agreements, organizing retailer activities, monitoring sales and competitor trends, and supporting commercial strategies to achieve sales targets. The role requires independent operation with approximately 50% travel and direct interaction with multi-national teams and the company CEO.   Requirements

  1. Minimum 3 years of Key Account Management experience in retail, preferably in consumer electronics or related sectors.
  2. Mature professional in their 30s, capable of working independently without direct supervision due to vacant Sales Director position.
  3. Demonstrated hunter mentality with a strong focus on opening new accounts and driving incremental sales growth.
  4. Excellent face-to-face relationship management skills with key retailers and independent dealers, particularly Chinese-dealer networks.
  5. Fluency in Mandarin and/or Cantonese is highly preferred to engage effectively with dealer stakeholders.
  6. Confident, entrepreneurial, and proactive mindset with ability to travel up to 50% across Northern Malaysia.
  7. Own transport required for mobility within the large coverage area.
  8. Strong negotiation skills to secure yearly trading agreements and manage commercial terms.
  9. Capable of analyzing sales data, competitor activity, and generating timely reports on business trends and threats.
  10. Experience in coordinating retailer events, promotions, and managing sales promoters.
  11. Ability to collaborate with finance teams for accounts receivable management including collections and payment discrepancy resolution.
  12. Familiarity with strategic sales planning including forecasts, Joint Business Plans (JBPs), and alignment with marketing for promotional activities.
